Dr. Alan Morris, DVM

DVM

Growing up on a farm in Walton County, Georgia, Allen worked with many types of animals, including cattle, horses, a donkey, a goat, chickens, cats, and dogs. When he was a teenager, Dr. Morris worked at a petting zoo that had wildlife and exotic animals. Although he first intended to go into human medicine, his early experiences at home and in his undergraduate studies inspired him to work in veterinary medicine!

Dr. Morris attended college at the University of Georgia and later went to UGA’s Veterinary School as well, where he met his wife, Dr. Andrea Morris. As a vet, Allen particularly enjoys puppy and kitten visits because of the excitement that comes with new arrivals. Internal medicine is the biggest challenge day-to-day, but the complexity makes it very stimulating and rewarding for Dr. Morris.

Allen and his wife have three children: Cruz, a talented athlete, Axel, who enjoys helping with animals, and Sofia, the baby. They also have two dogs and two cats.

While at the University of Georgia, Dr. Morris was a competitive runner, and he still enjoys running for fun and exercise. He also helps coach his sons’ teams and enjoys spending time with them.
